Mathematics Major TAG Requirements

(Mathematics B.A.& B.S. and Applied Mathematics B.S.)

Requires overall transferable GPA of 3.40

Complete the following courses by the end of spring:

Students must have a GPA of at least 2.75 for the following courses, with no grade less than ā€œCā€. If Math 3A and/or 3B were satisfied with AP/IB exams or with Pass/Credit grades in college courses, then grades in additional pre-major math courses will be used so that two letter grades go into the screening GPA. Refer to ASSIST.org for additional pre-major requirements.

*Note: Either Math 4A, 4B, 6A, or 6B must be completed with a grade of "B" or better in order to take MATH 8 at UCSB. UCSB MATH 8 =  SRJC MATH 6 (must be completed with a C or better).

There are additional courses not required for a TAG or for admission that must be completed to meet all lower division major preparation requirements. Students are initially admitted to the pre-major
