UCSC TAG SELECTIVE MAJOR CRITERIA

Psychology MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

Students must complete the following courses by the end of spring with a minimum grade of B- (2.7) in PSYC C1000 and STAT C1000. A minimum grade of C is needed for the pre-calculus mathematics course.

*If a grade of C was earned in an equivalent course to PSYC C1000, a student must earn a minimum grade of B- (2.7) in a course articulated to UCSC’s PSYCH 10, Introduction to Developmental Psychology (SRJC’s PSYC 4 or PSYC 8 or CHLD 10) or PSYC 20 Cognition: Fundamental Theories (SRJC's PSYC 11)

An AP Psychology score of 4 or 5 can be substituted for PSYC 1. An AP Statistics score of 4 or 5 can be substituted for PSYC 2 or STAT 5. An AP Calculus AB or BC score of 3, 4, or 5 can be substituted for Math 3.
