UCSC TAG Selective Major Criteria

COGNITIVE SCIENCE MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

A minimum GPA of 2.8 must be obtained in the following courses:

AM 11A

OR

Math 11A, 11B, 16A, 16B,19A, 19B, 20A OR 20B

MATH 16

OR

MATH 1A OR 1B

An AP Calculus AB score of 4 or 5, or Calculus BC score of 3, 4, or 5 may be substituted for the math course requirement.

PSYC 2

OR

STAT 5

OR

STAT 7 and 7L

STAT C1000 (formerly MATH 15) or PSYC 9

OR

STAT C1000 (formerly MATH 15) or PSYC 9

OR

No Course Articulated

An AP Statistics score of 4 or 5 can be substituted for PSYC 2 or STAT 5.
